CORE MODULES

Build #1100

Description:
  • EP3C80F780C8N (Cyclone III, Altera)
  • Pin assignment has been done for Cyclone III breadboard ACM-202-80C8 (HUMANDATA)
  • On-board clock is used to drive the module. If you need to create signals with accurate frequencies, consider to use an external 10 MHz clock option (build #1100-10M. See below).

Build #1100-10M

Description:
  • The only difference from build #1000 is that the FPGA is driven by an external 10 MHz clock through an SMA connector (CN18) on the mother board.
  • The stability of frequency would be determined by that of the external clock.

Note

  • The modules are compatible with an FPGA breadboard ACM-202-80C8 ( HUMANDATA), on which is equipped with the Cyclone III chip EP3C80F780C8N (Altera) and a 30 MHz crystal oscillator, but you can modify the design and/or pin assignment according to your own FPGA board.
  • For compilation, you will need Quartus II Web edition, a free development software by Altera.
  • Also, a download cable is necessary in order to write the compiled core modules into the FPGA chip.
