To Chemistry Department from Kyoto Station

* The easiest way is to take taxi. They are always waiting for passengers just outside of the station exit. You should show the map, which is to be sent by air mail and also you can get from WWW, and point out your hotel or North Campus location to the taxi driver. The price is about 2000 yen. No tipping is necessary in Japan.

*If you have a time (or be economizing), we recommend to use the city-bus service.
The bus terminal is located the north exit of Kyoto station.
First, you go to "zone A" of the bus terminal, and get on the bus No.17(S) or No.206.
Both buses bring you to the bus stop near by North Campus(Chemistry Department). It takes 30-40 minutes and costs 220yen.
ATTENTION:
When you choose the bus No.17(S), you have to get off「Nougakubu-Mae」.
When you choose the bus No.206, you have to get off「Hyakuman-ben」.
They have English voice guide to tell you where to get off.

*Taking both a subway train and a bus is eocnomical and speedy. You take a subway train for Kitayama from 「Kyoto」 to 「Imadegawa」. It takes about 10 minutes and costs 210yen. And then, get on the bus No.203 from「karasuma-Imadegawa」to「Nougakubu-Mae」about 10 minutes, a fare is 220yen. The buses run every 15minutes at least.
