2014 Open House for the Division of Chemistry

The Division of Chemistry in the Graduate School of Science invites prospective graduate students to attend an open house session of our graduate program. There will be open laboratory visits available in small groups in the Department of Chemistry, Center for Low Temperature and Materials Science, and Institute for Chemical Research. The faculty members and graduate students will introduce their laboratories, explain their current research projects, and answer questions. In addition, two affiliate institutes in Kyoto University, the Institute for Virus Research and the Research Reactor Institute, will also provide information desks where the faculty members will answer questions.

  • A bus service from the Department of Chemistry to Institute for Chemical Research will be provided for the participants.
  • The open house is conducted in Japanese, but English questions will be accepted.
Date: Saturday, May 24, 2014
Schedule: 9:00~9:30 Orientation and guidance
9:30-13:00 Laboratory visits and discussions in the Department of Chemistry
13:00-14:00 Lunch break and travel to Uji Campus by a chartered bus
14:00-17:00 Laboratory visits in Institute for Chemical Research
