Admission Requirements
Completion of secondary schooling abroad or equivalents as recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) such as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
Admission Procedures
- Privately supported students
Privately supported international applicants must pass the same written entrance examinations as Japanese applicants wishing to enter the University. The applicants must pass
- The National Center Examination for University Entrance, and then
- The Entrance Examination given by Faculty of Science, Kyoto University.

- Government Supported Students
The entrance examinations are waived for applicants who apply through the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship program.
