Research Introduction

We aim to elucidate and control various biological phenomena through the power of chemistry. Our research lies at the interface of biochemistry and organic chemistry. We welcome students and researchers with interests in either or both of these fields!
We share a common motivation:
to architect and create
fascinating molecules! Leveraging techniques and molecules such as artificial in vitro biosynthesis, pseudo-natural peptides, biosynthetic enzymes, and in vitro selection, we seek to explore new directions in chemical biology, peptide science, and natural product chemistry.

We accept undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students from Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science. We also welcome JSPS research fellows (PD).
