Call for Abstracts

All participants are invited to present posters or short oral communications. Authors, including invited speakers, should overwrite in Abstract Template and send both a completed Word document and its PDF version on or before June 25th, 2018 to MACOS Secretariat at: macos@org.kuchem.kyoto-u.ac.jp

Chemistry Letters Young Award will be awarded for best poster presentations.




Authors should indicate if they prefer an oral or poster presentation. Without any indication, MACOS Secretariat will handle abstracts for posters. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept papers and to designate them for oral or poster presentation.


Preparation of Abstract

(1) The abstract must be written in a Microsoft Word format (extension: .doc or .docx) and be submitted in both Microsoft Word and pdf formats (extension: .pdf).
(2) Please download the template in .doc format. Please do not change the layout (margins, line spacing, etc.).
(3) Since the abstract will be reproduced directly, editing will not possible after the deadline. Authors have full responsibility for the correct design and contents.
(4) The one-page A4-size abstract should be written in an area of 22.0 cm of height and 15.0 cm of width. Margins are 38 mm at top and bottom and 30 mm at both sides.
(5) The abstract must be written in English with single line spacing. Please use 12pt Times New Romans font or equivalent. Affiliation, address, e-mail, and reference can be in 10 pt.
(6) The abstracts will be printed in black and white.
(7) All figures should be of good quality and the lettering should be readable. For chemical structures, ACS Document 1996 Setting in ChemDraw is recommended.
(8) The deadline for abstract submission is June 25th, 2018. The Word and PDF files should be submitted to MACOS Secretariat at macos@org.kuchem.kyoto-u.ac.jp
(9) Poster boards are 90 cm wide and 180 cm high. Format A0 is suitable for a single sheet poster. Push-pins will be supplied on site.
